Back in December of 2006 several bloggers began discussing a need for Wordpress hosting in a safe, secure and trustworthy environment. It was then decided that ConservaBlogs.com would be built to create a home for about twenty or so active and talented center-right bloggers. Since then we’ve grown to well over 200,000 visits per month and we’re only a year old.

In the Fall of 2007 it was decided that the homepage, or main site of ConservaBlogs was stagnant and not being used to its full potential. During the first week of December, 2007, the decision was made to push for a e-hub of information related to the center-right side of the internet with regards to technology, new media, blogging social networking and industry news.

How will it all work?

Honestly, that hasn’t been decided. The vision is that the community will eventually come in and choose the best way for the site to operate. We picture a thriving site that is user driven in content and works in a way to benefit everyone involved.

The basic plan to date is to have several contributors for each category or section. Each contributor will get a bio page that links to any and all of their websites, including all of their web profiles. Plus, we’ll install a revenue sharing hack on the site that will give all revenue for an authors page and posts to the author. This means our entire site will be set up for revenue sharing.

What is the goal?

The main goal is to counter the left online. For years the left has had a far more prominent presence online, and many falsely claim the left dominates the web. Our intention is to prove it wrong, and do so in a big way.

Conservatives have for too long been quiet on the tech front, and it’s time for that to change.

How do I get involved?

Word of mouth is our #1 ally in guerrilla marketing. If you can simply blog about us, e-mail your friends and family with links to the site, and talk about us when the “left is beating the right” discussion comes up, we would greatly appreciate it.

Also, you can join our Facebook group and help us spread the word via Facebook.

And finally, you can become a blogger for our main site. It’s easy to apply, a great way to promote yourself and your blog, and it might even put a few extra bucks in your pocket. Why not, right?
